The Ghend'n Plains

Chasing Bane

A number of things have happened over the past few sessions. First, the PC’s were able to rescue the children and return them safely to Moonmist. Upon their return to the village they were recieved with a mixed reception. Some blamed the PC’s for their neglegence while others praised them for their heroics. Keallie’s mother took special interest in the PC’s, particulary Fargrim. The two of them spent much of the night talking about Anna’s late husband, Varas. Varas was an elf and a member of the Ghend’n Rangers before he met Anna and the people of Moonmist. The PC’s learned that Varas had a great deal of influence in the stabilization of Moonmist’s Stronghold. Shortly after the village was complete he died in an Orc raid. Also, speaking with Anna the PC’s realized they left behind a valuable sword which Anna had alot of questions about. They decided to rest for the night and return to the cave the next day inorder to retrieve the sword. When they returned to the cave it was not as they had left it. Kobold bodies layed strewn about, torn to pieces. Also the statue that had been the center piece of one of the rooms was now gone and a ghost hovered above a strange sacraficial pit. The ghost was friendly. Her name was Lillith and she was a member of the Ghend’n rangers. Her spirit was bound to the statue as a guardian but the magic that was used to release Bane from his stone prison rendered her almost useless. She could only admonish the PC’s to chase quickly after Bane who had gone in search of the dragon being raised in the depths of the cave. Deeper into the cave led the PC’s to a series of Kruthik tunnels. It is in these tunnels that they wander, trying to find Bane before its too late.

What's The Gooey Stuff

As our adventurers entered this next chamber they were immediately pelted by glue pots being slung by Kobold Slingers hiding behind some rocks on an overlook. It took awhile to figure out where these shots were coming from. Before they could figure it out, two Kobold Dragon shields came crawling out of the rocks next to the cage that the children were being kept in.

Kobolds?

So we ended the first encounter the other night quite successfully. With a few well timed dice rolls the Kobold skirmishers were demolished. The party looted their corpses and found a few unbroken javelins, some gold, and seven pieces of what appears to be white dragon scales. As they entered the next corridor it was noticed that the wall appeared less than solid and less than natural. With a few mighty swings of Fargrim’s hammer the wall came crashing down. After the crash of stone the cave remained eerily quiet. Behind the wall was a long skinny room with a pool of water that was small in circumfrence but seemingly deep. No one ventured too close to it because of the loose rocks that seemed to be hanging above. However, near the pool of water was their first treasure chest. In the chest was a slightly ornate longsword, some extremely soft leather boots, and plenty of gold to go around. Only Fargrim ventured into the room and so he graciously brought out the treasures for all. Kirk, the human ranger, was given both the boots and the sword. The gold was then divided up among the other three. The adventurers made their way into one other room. In this room they found a much larger pool of water in which everyone gained back a little more health after taking a drink. They then filled up their water skins. Fargrim decided to swim to the bottom of the pool after removing his armor and there seemd to be a tunnel headed north. Imogen then dove in to cast light in order to see how far the tunnel went. They decided to not risk swimming it. Instead we ended the night there on a short rest.

A Call for Help
Those Damn Dirty Kruthik's!

Our adventure opened at Moonmist Village, in the northern region of the Ghend’n Plains. The adventurers had been sent for inorder to help the village rid the surrounding area of the Kruthiks that where plagueing Moonmist’s hunting expeditions. All of the men in the village were away at war when our adventurers arrived so several of the village children wasted no time in leading them to the closest hive. Arriving at the outskirts of the hive, camp was set and everyone went to sleep. When the adventurers woke the next morning the children were missing but all of their belongings where left behind. After carefully examening the camp site they were able to track the children to a near by cave. They entered the cave and were met by several Kobold skirmishers. It was in the heat of this battle that our first session had to come to an end.

Welcome to your Adventure Log!
A blog for your campaign

Every campaign gets an Adventure Log, a blog for your adventures!

While the wiki is great for organizing your campaign world, it’s not the best way to chronicle your adventures. For that purpose, you need a blog!

The Adventure Log will allow you to chronologically order the happenings of your campaign. It serves as the record of what has passed. After each gaming session, come to the Adventure Log and write up what happened. In time, it will grow into a great story!

Best of all, each Adventure Log post is also a wiki page! You can link back and forth with your wiki, characters, and so forth as you wish.

One final tip: Before you jump in and try to write up the entire history for your campaign, take a deep breath. Rather than spending days writing and getting exhausted, I would suggest writing a quick “Story So Far” with only a summary. Then, get back to gaming! Grow your Adventure Log over time, rather than all at once.
